About Me

I write contemporary romance. I am unpublished and seeking an agent and publication.

Like many other writers, characters live and converse in my head and I am sharing their stories with you, dear gentle readers. I'm prone to invent stories about the person in front of me in the checkout line at the grocery store to distract myself from the tedium of waiting. You never know, you might be inspiration and find pieces of yourself in one of my books!

As a teenager in high school, I wrote my first novel on a manual typewriter. The story was awful so I chucked it in the trash. I kept writing anyway. I started reading romance, bodice rippers as they were sometimes called, in high school. My fascination continued through college, though I tried my best to conceal my secret indulgence since any self respecting literature major shunned such fluff.

Somewhere along the way, I thought: "I can do this. I can write a romance novel." This blog is a way to share my aspiration to get published and to introduce you to characters that I hope you will come to love as much as I do. Along the way, I will sprinkle in a story or two about life in general.

I bravely admit that I have a paper fetish, collecting pretty cards and paper, including old-fashioned planners. In my spare time I like to watch YouTube videos on customizing and decorating planners.

I am a 1996 graduate of Frostburg State University with a BS in English. I work part-time as an admin assistant in the book selling industry. I've been married for 17 years to my TEACHER HUSBAND and we have two sons, Big E and Little E. We live with our German Shepherd rescue dog in suburban Maryland.

I am a member of Romance Writers of America as well as Maryland Romance Writers.
